AFSC Board Meeting

ATTENANCE:
     Dawn Skerski, Carrell Spann,Paul Coleman, Anise Johnston,
Laurie Boboltz, Amy Kazmierczak, Steve and Ruth Plowman 

CALL TO ORDER:  7:10pm

MINUTES:
     Minutes from Aug 24 Board Meeting were reviewed and need to be amended.  
"New skaters will not need to pay for $75.00 club fee."  And the Basic Skills USFS fee is $10.00.
Carrell made the motion to accepted the minutes and Steve 2cd.  Motion was carried.

CORRESPONDENCE:
     Skating registration flyer went out in the Fri School folders.

TREASURER REPORT:
     None   
     
OLD BUSINESS:  
     Fundraising
*Poker Palace- Need to set 2 more weekend dates.  Lori Keskimacki turned her                fundraiser planner over to the Plowmans.  
*Rada Knifes- Ruth has order forms and flyers.   
*Subway- Ruth will check on selling Subway Discount Cards for $10.00.

     Music Committee
Members need to meet again and appoint a chairperson.  Members are: Carrell, Dawn, Staci LeBlanc, and possibly Amy Gagnon.

     Registration
Mandatory fees need to be paid up front.  A required down payment for practice ice needed at registration.
Other forms for registration are good.  Posters could not be found.
Registration setup for Monday and Thursday would be at 5pm.  Tables, Pens, Forms, tape the explained fees paper to tables.  Should we run ades for registration?

     Practice Ice
Need to set days and fees.
Motion by Amy K. to set practice ice fees at $10.00 per hour.  No one would seconded the motion.
After more discussion, a second motion was made to for the practice ice fee to be $12.00 per hour prepaid and $15.00 per hour at the door.  This would be reviewed at the end of session one.
Lori 2cd the motion and all were in agreement.

A motion by Amy K. to keep Thur ice for practice time was made.  It was seconded by Carrell. And carried.

A motion was made by Carrell to keep Sunday practice ice at a set time every week.  Steve 2cd the motion.  And it was carried by all.

     Board Members Replacement
Seek replacement for Lori Keskimaki board position till after registration.
Steve will speak with Wayne Lusardi about his future plans with the club.

NEW BUSINESS:
     Monday night skating will be done on Rink 2.
     Thursday night skating will be done on Rink 1.

The High School Team will be buying 20 mins of ice time from the club.

OTHER INFORMATION:
     New lights will be installed at the rink.  The T.V. that is closest to rink doors will be moved. And we maybe asked to move our sign in table away from the counter area.

     Carrell made the motion to adjourn the meeting.  It was seconded by Steve and motion was carried by all.  Next meeting will be Oct 4th at NLA at 6:30PM.
