AFSC Board Meeting

ATTENANCE:
     Dawn Skerski, Carrell Spann, Paul Coleman, Anise Johnston,
Laurie Boboltz, Marie Grochowski, Tammy Stone 

CALL TO ORDER:  6:44pm

MINUTES:
     Minutes from Sep 15th Board Meeting could not be accepted due to the
number of members at this meeting.  

CORRESPONDENCE:
     Paul is getting e-mails that more skaters will be signing up on first
night of skating.

TREASURER REPORT:
     Balance in Savings:   $13,417.86
     Balance in Checking:  $ 2,420.00
Ice bill for Oct $3,500.00, closet fee $200.00, and meeting room fee $10.00
per meeting.
Marie is requesting help.  Would it be O.K. to get rid of old skaters
accounts after 1 year and archieve them?  She needs a new flashdrive and
mouse for club computer.        
     
OLD BUSINESS:  
     Fundraising committee met Sep 28th.
*Poker Palace- Need to set 2 more weekend dates.    
*Rada Knifes- Ruth has order forms and flyers. Nov sales for Dec delivery.  
*Subway- Ruth will check on selling Subway Discount Cards for $10.00.
*Butter Braids- March 3-17 sales for April delivery. 
*Culvers Coupons- Ruth will try to set up selling date.
*Discount card- Shannon Datema will work on some of the ground work.

     Music Committee
Get music from Amy Gagnon to Carrell Spann.  We will need the month of Dec
to pick out customs.

     Policy Updates
Tammy Stone will go thru the last two years of meeting minutes to see if
anything was voted upon that would change our clubs policies.

NEW BUSINESS:
     Scholarship Applications-New form has been updated on Dawn's computer.
The scholarship monies can only be used for ice fees.  Paul will put on
club website along with a copy of the 2010/2011 handbook.

     Table sign ups-A sheet was passed around for setting up and working
at table for Oct and Nov.
     Credit given to student instructors-Need budget to determine.
     Executive Board meeting-Oct 18th at 7:15pm at NLA to establish budget.
     
OTHER INFORMATION:
     Our club needs a signed contract with the rink.

     Dawn made the motion to adjourn the meeting.  It was seconded by Carrell
and motion was carried by all. Next board meeting Nov 1st at 7:15pm at NLA.
